Josie Mansion, Havana Cuba, 2016. We were hosted by the mansion's owner, Josie, for a shoot with the model Vassanta and 2 Cuban models. I included the delightful Josie (who is now in her 80s) in some of the images as Lady of the Manor and a reminder of times past. It was built in the 1920s by her husband's family. Now they have passed on and she lives there alone with some care takers. Like all of old Havana, there is slow decay from former grandeur and the whole mansion is frozen in time from the 1950s as evidenced by the furniture and the accessories - ancient typewriter, old golf clubs, furniture, etc. An amazing day to learn more about Cuba from our hostess, her life and the stories of her home, and memorable images of our lovely models in a elegant by-gone setting.
